Coventry just 6 miles from our park is the birthplace of the motor and cycle industries in Britain. It is probably most famous for its ultra-modern cathedral, standing beside the ruins of the ancient cathedral, badly damaged during the Second World War. The spiritual home of Lady Godiva, Coventry is a multi cultural city with numerous shopping outlets, bars and restaurants to complete your trip.

Warwick approximately 14 miles with its magnificent castle set in landscaped grounds is a must for all. Stratford-on-Avon just 22 miles is famous for its literary connections. Warwickshire birthplace and home of William Shakespeare the city's character is reflected by its many halftimbered houses from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Three Royal Shakespeare Company Theatres, Stratford Racecourse, the Ragdoll shop, Butterfly Farm and The Teddy Bear Museum will all ensure you have a very full and interesting trip to Stratford.

The National Motorcycle Museum (3 miles), Drayton Manor Park and Zoo, Tamworth Ski and Snow Dome, The Belfry (hosts to the Ryder Cup) are all within easy reach of Somers Wood.
